CME Credits

CEUS training has been recognized by BOTH the RCPSC and the CFPC. Qualifying as an Independent Practitioner will now get you 25 MainPro-C and 25 MainPro-M1 credits (CFPC) or 40 Section 4b credits (RCPSC).

CEUS IP's who have participated in CEUS-level training as instructors are eligible for further credits (CCFP MainPro-M2 or RCPSC Section 6) on an hour-for-hour basis.

Members who have taught on an introductory course are eligible for numerous credits, as follows:

  • Apprentice: 15 Section 6 (RCPSC) or 10 MainPro-C (CFPC)
  • Instructor: 14 MainPro-M2 (CFPC)
  • Master Instructor: 22 Section 6 (RCPSC) or 22 MainPro-M2 (CFPC)
  • Any course taught as Apprentice, Instructor or Master Instructor: 2 Mainpro-C AND 2 Mainpro-M1 (CFPC) (with special post-activity form filled out).

These credits can be claimed as far back as FIVE years for the CCFP and one year for the RCPSC.

We have developed form letters for all of the above, which have been approved by both Colleges. To get your copies:

  1. For CEUS training (IP candidate or trainer) and all RCPSC credits: email your request to admin [at] ceus [dot] ca. If you are claiming for training an IP, please include the name of the IP and the total hours of training you performed. If you are claiming credit for an introductory course, please indicate the date and site of the course.
  2. For CFPC introductory course instructor (Apprentice to Master) credits: email the course director of your introductory course.

Please include a current mailing address in either case, as well as the College you belong to.
